ROBIN BRUCE MYERS, 28, KANE, DIED MAY 17 IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT ON SUNDERLAND ROAD. HE WAS BORN JUL 19, 1956 IN JERSEYVILLE, THE SON OF HAROLD AND MARJORIE ANN CAMERER MYERS. HE WAS A MACHINE OPERATOR FOR TETRA PLASTICS IN CHESTERFIELD, MO. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH IN JERSEYVILLE. SURVIVING ARE HIS PARENTS, HAROLD AND MARJORIE MYERS OF KANE, AND A SISTER, JOYCE MYERS, ALSO OF KANE. FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD TUES., MAY 21 AT THE FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH IN JERSEYVILLE, REVS. WAYNE PENDLETON AND WILLIAM TURNER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS AT THE OAK GROVE CEMETERY. THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH BUILDING FUND HAS BEEN NAMED AS A MEMORIAL.

BORN APR 22, SON OF GEORGE MYERS OF ROSEDALE TOWNSHIP. FORMER DEPUTY SHERIFF OF JERSEY COUNTY, SERVING UNDER SHERIFF CHARLES SCHLANSKER. ALSO LEAVES WIFE, MRS. JULA MYERS OF PORTLAND, ORE.; SON GORDON MYERS OF SANDYS, ORE.; THREE STEP CHILDREN, KENNETH PICKETT, MRS. MARY MURPHY, AND MRS. JUANITA BURCHKI OF PORTLAND, TWO BROTHERS, GEORGE OF JERSEYVILLE AND HARRISON OF ALTON. 21 GRANDCHILDREN, 12 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. SISTER AND A BROTHER PRECEDED HIM WITHIN THE LAST SIX MONTHS.

MARRIED JOSEPH MORGAN AUG. 1821 AT FAYETTEVILLE WHERE THEY LIVED 7 YEARS. THEN TO GEORGIA, AFTERWARDS TO KY AND THEN TO NC. COME TO IL IN 1839 SETTLING ON OTTER CREEK. IN 1840 THEY MOVED TO GREENE CO., MO FOR FOUR YEARS. IN 1851 MOVED TO CLINTON CO., RETURNING TO JERSEY IN 1855. 10 CHILDREN-- 2 LIVING. DANIEL MORGAN OF AUGUSTA KAN., AND LOUISA CLARIDGE OF GRAFTON. BELONGED TO ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE WAS REQUESTED TO NAME THE CHURCH AND CHOSE ANTIOCH; THAT WAS THE FIRST CHURCH SHE JOINED IN NC. LIVED WITH DAUGHTER, MRS. LOUISA CLARIDGE UNTIL 1859 WHEN SHE WENT TO LIVE WITH SON DANIEL. IN 1886 SHE RETURNED TO HER DAUGHTER. 42 GRANDCHILDREN, 97 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND 9 GREAT, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. FUNERAL FROM OTTERVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH. REV. S. CATT. ELDERS DODSON AND TEANY. BURIED OTTERVILLE CEMETERY BESIDE HER HUSBAND.DIED AT ROSEDALE, IL 96 YEARS OLD.
